CHAUVET Professional closed out 2025 with a bang, playing a big role in two of the most iconic holiday events. The gifted production and lighting designer Bryan Hartley added a new twist to the beloved Trans-Siberian Orchestra winter extravaganza by using “rock ‘n roll audience blinders” in his rig for the first time in the show, which he has been working on since it began in 1996.

Hartley flew 48 of the fixtures, which were supplied by PRG on vertical and horizontal truss, and ran them at 27-percent. He said this made it easy on the audience’s eyes — plus, at this level, the fixtures created a “nice color glow” that fit the mood of the show.

“I put them out in the open where everyone could see them the whole time,” Hartley said of the blinders. “I loved these fixtures!”

The Trans-Siberian winter run concluded on December 30. On the next night, as people crowded Times Square to ring in the new year, CHAUVET Professional shined again. Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve featured a generous selection of our fixtures supplied by 4Wall Entertainment in a rig created by Mike Grabowski and the team at The Lighting Design Group.

A highlight of the evening was a six-minute show by headliner Diana Ross on a special platform stage with a lighting package created by LD Paul Miller that featured COLORado PXL Bar 16 batten fixtures that outlined the performance area, as well as a collection of Maverick Storm 2 Profile units and COLORado par fixtures. A production and video by David Horner and Ben Rogers, creating a panorama befitting a living legend.

Given the spectacular finish to 2025, everyone at CHAUVET Professional is eager to take things to even greater heights in the year ahead.
